Welcome to the Post-Pride Month episode! Today we’re gonna learn a bit of LGBTQ+ history as well as PrEP Therapy for HIV, because while this virus is a prevalent issue among the gay and bisexual community, no one should have to go unprotected or uneducated. We also have the pleasure of talking with a friend and mentor of mine, Dr. Gabriella Maris. Dr. Maris plays a vital role within the LGBTQ+ community in the healthcare field and I’m excited to learn more about it.
Dr. Gabriella Maris is a family medicine physician from Columbia, South Carolina. She attended Medical University of South Carolina College of Medicine for medical school and the University of Pennsylvania for residency. Dr. Maris is heavily engaged in treating patients in the LGBTQ+ community and plays an active role in creating opportunities for education among other clinicians.
